September 17, 2024, 2:00 - 4:30 PM ET

The Planning for a Modern Distribution System Cohort will participate in four online interactive workshops that focus on how to increase visibility into, plan for, and leverage the distribution grid to advance forward-looking grid technology investment strategies. Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of the distribution planning process and will encourage shared learning and group problem solving.

  • Virtual Workshop 2 (September 17, 2024, 2:00p.m. – 4:30 pm ET): Tools and analyses for distribution planning - topics may include assessing reliability and resilience, load and DER forecasting inputs & assumptions, and scenario development.
  • Virtual Workshop 3 (October 10, 2024, 2:00p.m. – 4:30 pm ET): Tools and analyses for distribution planning - topics may include assessing reliability and resilience, load and DER forecasting inputs & assumptions, and scenario development.
  • Virtual Workshop 4 (November 20, 2024, 2:00p.m. – 4:30 pm ET): What to do with a distribution plan – how distribution plans can be used to prioritize investment in grid modernization technologies, to support other planning processes, and to inform pricing and program design.
