DESCRIPTION: In this webinar, we will dive into the technical provisions that have changed for the Energy Rating Index in Section R406 of the new 2024 IECC and discuss the updates to the code that are relevant to HERS Raters.  This presentation will also provide a brief overview of new ERI requirements for the building thermal envelope, mechanical, and electrical power and lighting systems that can be found in Chapter 4.

BIO: 

Michael is an Energy Code Specialist at PSD. Prior to joining PSD, Michael was a Senior Associate of Building Energy Codes at Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP). Michael also worked as a RESNET Certified HERS Rater in Massachusetts where he coached builders on energy efficient design practices and enforced the Massachusetts IECC 2018 and Stretch Code Performance Path to Code Compliance.
