The authorizing statute for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program requires that states subgrant at least 60 percent of their allocated formula funds to local governments that are not eligible for allocations directly from the federal government. As the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has begun to make awards to states, NASEO will host a discussion to help states prepare to implement subgrants within the 180-day timeline required by the program. The meeting will provide a forum for states to share tips and best practices, learn from one another, and ask questions of DOE’s EECBG Program team. Please register in advance here and contact Sandy Fazeli (sfazeli@naseo.org) with any questions.
