Multifamily buildings are a critical component of our country’s affordable housing stock, providing housing for over 19 million low-income households nationally. Across the country, a significant portion of this housing stock is in immediate need of clean energy upgrades. Under U.S. Department of Energy's Home Energy Rebate program guidance, states are required to serve these buildings with home energy rebates. Join us for a “multifamily 101” webinar on how to get started designing and implementing a multifamily rebate program. We’ll share the basics of where to start, key stakeholders, and some best practices for serving this sector with energy efficiency and electrification resources. You will also hear insights from the DC State Energy Office as well as a state housing finance agency that will share opportunities for coordinating with your state’s housing financing agency and other multifamily stakeholders.
