Clean hydrogen is often valued for its versatility as a decarbonization tool, particularly when looking at the heavy-duty transportation and industrial sectors, with potential applications spanning multiple sectors and end uses. However, not all end uses will be practical, and states and regions may need to consider different criteria when determining which applications to prioritize in their clean hydrogen policies, planning, and programming. This webinar will provide State Energy Offices with an overview of the potential end uses for clean hydrogen, key factors to consider (such as decarbonization potential, safety and environmental risks, cost effectiveness, market demand, and efficiency), as well as strategies for incorporating these considerations into clean hydrogen roadmaps and other state energy plans.
