As states look for innovative ways to advance long-term energy storage and decarbonize their transportation and industrial sectors, clean hydrogen is one key opportunity. There are a variety of new funding options available for hydrogen production through the Infrastructure, Investment, and Jobs Act (IIJA) and states are developing their own resources to streamline hydrogen production regionally – looking at permitting, land-use, energy justice, workforce, use-cases, and other key considerations. Oregon and New York are among the states that have started developing or have already developed hydrogen roadmaps to outline the key stakeholders, strategic vision, and potential challenges for advancing a robust hydrogen economy. This webinar will be an opportunity to hear from these states about how they plan to advance clean hydrogen production through different policy and regulatory structures.
