Since its inception in 2016, the U.S. Energy and Employment Report (USEER) has served as a critical tool for public and private sector decision-makers to understand the role of energy jobs and investments in advancing the U.S. economy. Its latest edition, the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2022 U.S. Energy and Employment Report, finds that in 2021, the U.S. energy industry employed more than 7.8 million workers across the electric power generation; transmission, distribution, and storage; fuels; energy efficiency; and motor vehicle sectors. The energy workforce grew 4.0% from 2020, faster than the U.S. overall workforce as a whole. Join federal and state leaders for a webinar on how State Energy Offices can apply the USEER’s rich set of state level data to support state energy, climate, just transition, and economic development goals.
