The topic will be inclusion of demand flexibility (DF)/GEB and electrification in building energy codes and building performance standards (BPS). NASEO will provide a short introduction based on portions of the State and Local Building Policies and Programs for Energy Efficiency and Demand Flexibility report followed by Chris Perry, Engineer, DOE Building Technologies Office, and Ellen Franconi, Senior Energy Research Engineer, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) speaking on potential DF/DR-friendly provision inclusion in codes, stretch codes, and BPS, and on including time-differentiation in code cost-effectiveness determinations. The presentations will be followed by discussion and cross-state exchange/updates. This event is limited to Working Group states. Please send inquiries to GEB@naseo.org.
