Earlier in 2021, activist investors secured three seats on Exxon Mobil's board of directors in what is viewed as a turning point for shareholder activism and efforts to put more pressure on the corporate world to enhance performance on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. As the ESG movement continues to gain momentum influencing corporate boardrooms, questions remain on how quickly the energy transition will take hold and what will it mean for the oil and gas industry moving forward. What are the investor expectations for corporate leaders as they incorporate climate risk into business decision making and strategy? What should we expect from the upcoming 2022 proxy season in the post-COP26 environment?
Please join us for an expert panel with leaders from shareholder advisory at Federated Hermes, activist NGO Ceres and shareholder representatives. Details on speakers to follow.
This event will be a virtual session via Zoom from 12:00 until 1:30 PM EST. Additional details will be provided to registered attendees prior to the session.
