Description: Passive House, the most energy efficient building standard in the world, has some very specific design and ventilation criteria that must be met, or the project will not be certified. Two fundamental types of ventilation will be defined. The differences between typical  ‘business as usual’ approaches and Passive House requirements will be defined and discussed, along with Indoor Air Quality - IAQ - implications. We’ll see how a sharp eyed Rater can keep a ventilation system certification issue from preventing certification. We will discuss two real world situations in which, while meeting the Passive House criteria, resulted in less than optimal IAQ. We’ll have time for questions, so bring them!
