The Future of the US Shale Industry

June 10, 2021, 12:00 - 1:30 PM EDT
Virtual session
NY

In this session we will discuss a wide range of issues that will shape the future of the US shale industry, the same industry that was critical in reducing America’s carbon footprint in the last 15-years, the same industry that dramatically lowered global energy prices and the same industry that has yet to demonstrate a return on investments. Before the energy transition can fully run its course, global oil and gas supplies first need to grow in the medium term, but can the shale industry thrive as environmental concerns mount? How can the industry help reduce GHG emission further? How will capital markets be shaped for traditional Oil & Gas? Or will there be continued ‘disinvestment’? What might that under-investment risk?

It's rare that we get to talk about this from an insider’s perspective:

Our first panelist David Khani, spent decades as a leading energy equity analyst and is now serving on his second stint as a Chief Financial Officer. As the CFO of EQT Corp, David helps lead the largest and most forward thinking independent natural gas producer in the US to change its behavior and fortunes.

Alongside David we will host Matthew Warburton, who has spent the last 25+ years in the space first on the sell side of Wall Street; then as an energy portfolio manager in two prominent Hedge Funds. Matt spent the last few years analyzing the industry from within, as a strategist for Concho, one of the higher rated independent oil producers in Texas’ Permian Basin that last year was taken over by Conoco.

This event will be a virtual session via Zoom from 12:00 until 1:30 PM. Additional details will be provided to registered attendees prior to the session.
