Improve IAQ, reduce carbon emissions, and save energy through performance-based ventilation design

May 17, 2021, 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET

As a result of the COVID pandemic and the change in Federal Administrations, building infrastructure projects must solve indoor air quality, energy efficiency and carbon reduction goals at the same time. When it comes to HVAC projects, performance-based ventilation design using ASHRAE’s Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP) can cost effectively achieve IAQ, energy efficiency, and carbon goals. This webinar will explain how IAQP works and present office building and K-12 case studies using the IAQP.

Presenters:

  • Dr. Marwa Zaatari, Principal/Chief Science Officer - Dzine Partners, LLC
  • Anurag Goel, Director of Sales & Application Engineering, enVerid

Learning Objectives:

  1. Know what the Indoor Air Quality Procedure in ASHRAE Standard 62.1 is.
  2. Identify projects were using the Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP) is appropriate.
  3. Be able to use the mass-balance equation to calculate ventilation rates using IAQP.
  4. Understand payback examples and economics of implementing IAQP.
