Members of the NEHERS Standards Committee who are reviewing the 2022 version of RESNET 301 and 380 that are out for comment will share their insights about what changes they see coming. Sara DeVico is the Green Building and Educational Services Manager for the BER. She has worked in the HERS industry for over 15 years. She is a RESNET Quality Assurance Designee, LEED for Homes Green Rater, LEED for Homes Quality Assurance Designee, Passive House Verifier, NGBS Verifier, EPA WaterSense Quality Assurance Designee, and BPI Professional.
V. Robert (Rob) Salcido is a Senior Builder Research Engineer with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and heads up the Residential Energy Codes group within the Building Energy Codes Program. Rob is also the Principal with Salcido Solutions, which he started in 2015. He worked at AEC/NORESCO for 16 years with the last 8 years as the REM/Rate Program Manager and has been working in the area of energy efficiency in buildings since 1992. He has a Bachelors degree in Environmental Resources Engineering from Humboldt State University in California as well as a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado.
Tony Lisanti is Managing Director at Integral Building & Design, Inc. in Nyack, NY. As a Certified HERS Rater has certified over 2500 dwelling units for the Energy Star Program, and for the EPA Indoor airPLUS, DOE ZERH and PHIUS+. And completed HERS Ratings for IECC compliance. He is a Certified Energy Manager, Passive House Institute US Rater, Verifier and Passive House Consultant, D.O.E. Zero Energy Ready Home Verifier, RESNET Quality Assurance Designee, RESNET Rater Trainer, Certified Green Professional by NAHB, and IECC/HERS Compliance Specialist and has numerous certifications from the Building Performance Institute.
Mike Browne is the Founder Advanced Building Analysis and is the board President of the NEHERS Alliance. He holds a B.S. in Material Science and Engineering from Brown University. Mike is a RESNET certified Energy Rater and Provider as well as the first 2012 NGBS accredited rater in Massachusetts. He is also a certified PHIUS+ rater, and has trained in Infrared Imaging at the world training headquarters of FLIR in Billerica, MA. Mike is also President and board member of Energy Raters of Massachusetts, Inc., a RESNET accredited HERS Provider that specifically caters to Independent HERS Raters working in Massachusetts.
