NASEO-DOE Webinar: Best Practices for Clean Energy Procurement and Technical Assistance Opportunity - for State and Territory Energy Office members only

March 10, 2021, 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET

In partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s (EERE) Office of Weatherization and Intergovernmental Programs, NASEO will be soon begin holding a new series of meetings and discussions designed to identify opportunities for enhanced state-federal collaboration on the validation and deployment of later-stage, pre-commercial energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies for buildings, with a focus on public buildings and facilities.

Participants will learn about Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s (LBNL) 20 years of experience supporting clean energy procurement in DOE’s Federal Energy Management Program. DOE and LBNL will outline an opportunity for 2-3 states to receive no-cost technical assistance from the Lab to improve an aspect of the state’s procurement process. Examples vary by state but may include adoption of a technology specification, training on software for contract development, etc. As such, it is recommended that State Energy Offices invite agency partners with a prominent role in state or local procurement (e.g., Departments of Administration or General Services).
