Calling and energy professionals, architects and remodeling companies! Triple decker dwellers past + present + future beg you to join MassCEC’s Triple Decker Design Challenge: https://www.masscec.com/triple-decker-design-challenge
MassCEC’s Triple Decker Design Challenge seeks to set a new and scalable standard for transitioning these familiar New England dwellings into high-performing, low-carbon buildings.
The #tripledeckerchallenge offers a unique opportunity for architects and builders to change the Boston skyline to create the clean energy future our state envisions. Proposals are due November 6th.
There are three $25K prizes for winning designs, four $15K runner up prizes, and another $10K bonus for the People’s Choice design.
We need your help to spread the word to design build firms, remodelling companies and architects who might want to apply. Once applications are in, we want to invite energy professionals, design professionals and the whole public to vote on the People's Choice award. We suspect there will a lot of great ideas proposed and we want to spread them wide and far.
Because time is short, potential applicants should view the on-demand webinar that describes application materials.
We will also be discussing the overarching effort, how HERS raters can help in spreading great ideas and knowledge, and what might come after the competition at a brief webinar on September 14th at 3:30.
