In December of 2017, a group of stakeholders came together to discuss a shared interest in the harmonization of energy labeling by the use of a single energy model for Home Energy Score and the Energy Rating Index. Since that initial meeting, much effort has been put into making this a reality using the Energy Plus energy modeling engine. On June 13, 2019 at 1pm ET the National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO), the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the U.S. Department of Energy will host a webinar to provide an update on efforts to harmonize the energy modeling that powers Home Energy Score and the Energy Rating Index using Energy Plus.
