SWEEP’s 15th Annual Southwest Utility Energy Efficiency Workshop

Regional and national energy efficiency professionals gathered Nov. 29-30, 2018, in Santa Fe, NM, at SWEEP’s 15th Annual Southwest Utility Energy Efficiency Workshop. The annual forum draws leading utility, regulatory, state, federal, non-profit and industry representatives to discuss the status of utility demand-side management (DSM) programs in the Southwest and learn about innovative DSM programs and technologies.

At the 2018 Workshop in Santa Fe, N.M., the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP) presented its annual Leadership in Energy Efficiency Award to Steve Bean, Manager of Energy Efficiency Design at Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM). The 2018 Workshop was co-sponsored by Black Hills Energy, El Paso Electric, PNM Resources, New Mexico Gas Company, NV Energy, Dominion Energy, Rocky Mountain Power, Salt River Project, Southwest Gas, Tucson Electric Power, and Xcel Energy.

Each investor-owned utility in the region was asked to compile data illustrating program budgets, energy savings and peak demand reduction for all 2018 energy efficiency programs and estimated data for 2019 programs.  These tables were provided as a handout to workshop participants.
