On Wednesday, September 17, MEEA is hosting the Michigan Energy Efficiency Expo in partnership with the Michigan Energy Efficiency Contractors Association (MEECA) and the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council (MiEIBC) in Lansing at the State Capitol. MEEA’s Energy Efficiency Expos are collaborative events that bring together energy stakeholders with policymakers to educate them on the benefits and impacts of energy efficiency policies and programs in the Midwest. These events provide manufacturers, retailers, utilities, non-profits, and energy service companies with the opportunity to highlight the economic impact of their organizations in the energy efficiency field and generally support energy efficiency.
This multi-faceted group of exhibitors will specifically highlight the direct economic benefits in Michigan. We are working to secure the participation of Michigan based energy efficiency contractors; distributors, manufacturers and other stakeholders to set-up small table-top or free-standing displays inside the State Capitol on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 8:30 am –2:00 pm ET. The Expo will be open to the public, legislators, and policymakers. The MI EE Expo will give exhibitors a chance to tell their story and further educate these decision-makers on the opportunities and benefits of energy efficiency. A press conference featuring policymakers and industry representatives will be held at noon ET in the Capitol Rotunda.
This event is FREE to attendees and exhibitors. A grab & go breakfast will be provided at 8:30 am ET.
If you are interested in attending this event, or if your company works in Michigan and would like to exhibit at the Expo, please contact Jessica Collingsworth at jcollingsworth@mwalliance.org or at (312)784-7247.
