NASEO invites you to join us for a webinar that will explore utility ownership of combined heat and power (CHP) facilities. A number of important policy and market drivers have brought renewed attention to CHP including low natural gas prices, the high price of disruptions to the grid, and state policymakers crediting CHP in their energy efficiency and renewable portfolio standards, among others. As a high efficiency distributed generation asset, utilities may be drawn to ownership of CHP facilities for a number of reasons. This webinar will explore the motivations behind utility ownership of CHP, provide examples of utility-owned CHP and shed light on the policies that made such projects feasible, and discuss the resources available to State Energy Offices so that they may better evaluate utility-owned CHP projects in the future.
