NASEO’s September 5, 2013 Financing Committee call will include updates and presentations on energy financing activities in three states. First, committee members will hear from Jeff Pitkin, Treasurer of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Committee Co-chair, on the state’s recent issuance of revenue bonds to finance loans for residential energy efficiency improvements through the Green Jobs-Green New York program. Next, the co-authors of a report from the Maryland Energy Administration and Catalyst Financial Group will discuss strategies to make the business case for energy efficiency in commercial properties. Finally, we will feature a presentation on Virginia’s innovative Commonwealth Energy Fund from Marco Rubin, who is responsible for sourcing, diligence, and closing of seed and early stage investments for the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT).
