This month’s luncheon speaker will discuss Xcel Energy’s Demand Response programs, including new program options being made available this year.  André Gouin, Business Technology Consultant for Xcel Energy, will discuss how the Company offers a portfolio of programs designed to help manage system peak demand.  The discussion will include an overview of the new Peak Partner Reward and Critical Peak Pricing programs, new rate pilots being made available to residential customers, and an update on building optimization and smart thermostat pilots Xcel Energy conducted last summer.

CareerConnect offers more than 17,000 students rigorous, hands on classes in industries such as engineering, techonology, architecture, advanced manufacturing, heathcare, etc. Students participate in work-based learned opportunities like facility tours, mentoring, and internships. CareerConnect is starting to recruit for their Summer 2017 internship program. Around 70 students will be in need of engineering focused internships. Eligible students are incoming juniors/seniors who have taken at least one engineering/energy class.
