RMAEE Annual Energy Forum

Plan now to join us for an informative day as RMAEE explores “Who’s Driving the Energy Ship?” Participants will receive 8 Professional Development Hours (equals 1.6 CEM credits or 0.8 Continuing Education Units) for renewing professional certifications.

Transportation and Parking

Free parking is available in the lot across the street from the PPA venue. Public transportation is also available (including RTD bus 28 from Union Station).

Registration

Lunch and continental breakfast are included with paid admission of $70 for RMAEE members or AEE members and $90 for nonmembers. This price ends at midnight October 17th. At the door registrations - the prices increase $10 each. Students with Valid ID will be admitted for free.

Conference and speakers start at 8:30 AM.

Kick-off / Federal – RMAEE is currently deciding among various speakers who will address the unsettled state of Federal policy drivers and funding for energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, projects, and initiatives.

Customers – Eli Feldman, Ben Woolf, or Erin Barrett (Conscience Bay Company) will provide their perspectives on customer-driven implementation of energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy in the context of a private equity firm investing in agricultural land, water resources, and commercial real estate.

Customer Finance – Karen Pelzer (All American Investment Group) will provide an update on performance contracting tools in Colorado for financing projects, plus an update on Energy Services Coalition’s Colorado activities. 

Break/Vendor visit – Exhibit Hall

City Vision/Policies Panel – This panel will represent small, medium, and large Colorado cities and their visions and policies impacting the energy projects market. Panelists include Tom Ochtera (Westminster), Stu Reeve (Ft Collins), among others.

City Project Examples/Lessons Learned Applicable to Future Projects – Each of the Vision/Policies panelists will discuss current or recent projects – such as Westminster’s New Downtown development – that illustrate how these cities are implementing their visions and policies. The intent is to provide lessons learned which audience participants can take forward into their own projects.

Lunch/Vendor Visit – Exhibit Hall

Keynote – Wendy Moser, Commissioner, (Colorado Public Utilities Commission) will provide her perspectives on State drivers that are impacting, or will influence, the energy projects landscape in Colorado.

New Technologies – David Roberts (Cypress Envirosystems) will present information on non-invasive retrofit solutions for legacy buildings and facilities.

New Technologies – Andrea Salazar (E-Source) will provide an overview of recent technological developments that will be useful in participants’ future projects.

Customer/Utility – RMAEE is currently deciding among various speakers that will address customer- or utility-driven energy projects that can shed light on the future direction of energy engineering projects in Colorado.
